Magpie (previously Gloria) is a very special lady. She was a stray with clear indications she had just had puppies. We became aware that the owners had cruelly killed her puppies and left her out to roam, after which the Animal Control picked her up. We instantly had to go get her, needing lots of TLC because she had developed an infection in her breast. She is just about healed, will be spayed in May, the soonest our favorite vet could fit her in and meanwhile she is being treated like the Queen that she truly is. She is in no way the cruel Queen, though. She is about the sweetest. She has gotten along with dogs, cats, men, and although her foster has no children, we have no doubt that children that know how to treat animals will also be A-OK with her. Since she still needs to be spayed, she can't officially be adopted until after that is done but we are accepting applications now. We will be looking for someone that will absolutely spoil her. That's a must. We might be able to do a foster-to-adopt situation to a qualified adopter.

We do most of our application processing online and try to use video home tours in place of home visits to keep everyone safe. You may start the approval process by submitting our online adoption application, after which a foster/volunteer will contact you. Please follow the link to the adoption application:  ONLINE ADOPTION APPLICATION
