Scrappy was picked up when a person in a Walmart Parking lot was going to dump him there. A friend of our rescue saw this and took Scrappy from the woman. The woman also gave her Mac & Cheese that was apparently what Scrappy was eating. He appeared to be only 4 weeks old, was walking unsteady and was obviously malnutritioned. We immediately made the plan to get him to the vet ASAP, began giving him milk replacement, gave him nexgard and wormed him.

We are listing Scrappy ahead of the time he might be ready for adoption so that we can find the right home for him. We are watching him carefully to make sure he develops, with good wholesome food and care, so that he will grow out of some of the symptoms that seemed like they might be from neurological problems. Since he is a puppy, it is quite possible that he will grow out of it, per our vet.

If you are interested in adopting this little guy, please submit the adoption application ASAP for pre-approval. After we receive your application, we will review it and contact you. Thank you for considering a special needs pet...even if we are not sure he will be special needs, yet. He's a doll anyway and as of 6/3/2020, he has been progressing and will receive his 2nd puppy shot today.
