"Copper " (formerly "Nashville" or "Nash") is a super sweet, 2.5 year old collie mix, who loves to go for walks & hang out with his human(s). He’s not much on crate training...YET...but will use a puppy pad if he needs to and you are not there to take him out. He will likely just hang out with a friend when you are gone. We ALWAYS recommend doggie doors into a fenced in yard. Nash was originally trained to use one very successfully. He’s good with kids, cats, and people, maybe a little big for toddlers and may need some manners about jumping up to get your attention. But that should be an easy fix. He will likely make a good all around family dog, sleeping with his human(s). If this sounds about right for you, please submit an online adoption application for approval and a volunteer will contact you.  https://piedmontpoundpaws.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=4303

More about Copper (Nashville) (Nash)

Good with Some Dogs (No small dogs), Good with Cats, Good with Older/Considerate Kids Only, Good with Adults, Does Good in the Car, Requires a yard, Playful, Affectionate, Intelligent, Needs a companion animal, Not good with small dogs

Special Needs: It will be very important that Nash has enough exercise to satisfy his needs. Another playful, non-aggressive dog, an active family, a doggy park, and/or frequent walks, are some of the ways and you will likely have a partner for a long time. He will want to spend time with his human(s). He is a social dog. So, he should not be just let out in a rural area to run alone, without close supervision. If the latter is your plan, please don't bother applying to adopt him.
